As a young girl, Kendon's favorite place to visit was Canaan Valley, WV, a special vacation spot going back four generations in her family. Her trips to Thomas and Davis to ski, hike, and golf with friends and family ultimately led to her choosing WVU for college and West Virginia as her present-day home.
